Small rodent droppings noted in aisle on shelving and on floors near beverage reach ins / No food observed to be chewed through during compliance. Orkin will be on site 5x/daily and has a mass trapping scheduled for Sunday 3/2/2025 Unclear if rodent droppings are uncleaned from compliance or are new. **3/19/2025 - 2 bags of goldfish on shelving chewed through droppings noted as well. Droppings found on shelving with candy and popcorn / Clean to remove Droppings and urine stains noted in back loading area on shelving. Remove and maintain **3/28/2025 - Droppings noted on shelving under M&Ms droppings noted on pet food shelving. Strong odors coming from the pet food aisle area. Deep cleaners scheduled to come tonight to find the source. **4/14/2025 - droppings noted in chip section on bottom shelf. Droppings on front candy shelving and chewed through candy bars at registers / Remove and dispose all chewed through candy clean and sanitize shelving

Code Requirements

IMMEDIATE ACTION: Clean/sanitize all affected areas with 10% bleach solution. Discard ALL exposed food. Seal holes over 1/4 inch (mice) or 1/2 inch (rats). Remove food sources. Install bait stations. Professional extermination within 24 hours.

Large gaps in between and underneath automatic doors allowing for possible rodent access / Provide weather stripping to close gaps 3/28/25** Exterior sliding doors have been repaired. Interior sliding doors in need of weather stripping.

Why This Matters

PEST INVASION: Open doors allow entry of flies (carry 100+ pathogens), rodents (35+ diseases), and airborne contaminants. One fly can contaminate entire prep area in minutes, landing on 30+ surfaces spreading E. coli, Salmonella.

Code Requirements

Install self-closing devices on ALL exterior doors immediately. Doors must close completely within 3 seconds. No gaps over 1/4 inch. Consider air curtains for frequently used doors. Keep doors closed when not in active use.
