Controlling Pests (Pf)

Today I found a few areas on the retail floor with rodent droppings and product with holes in the bag. PIc stated that pest control inspects 3 days a week. I review reports and multiple catches have been noted. Candy at front counter pet food and most of the bags of chips. PIC will need to do a deep cleaning and in for pest control of your findings. Please email the last three reports and the next few. Reports of larger rodents in the back room (rats). Pest control has rat traps and the outdoor black box inside the back room. Pest control was here today and traps not set and no bait on traps. 3-12-25 The retail area was clean but the last two pest control reports had 5 and 3 catches. PIC will need to send the reports as he gets them for us to review. PIC did find a hole in the back room that was filled in. And a hole in the wall between them and next door. Nothing found in the ceilings or bacement. 3-19-25 At this time found droppings on shelves in retail area. Pest control is inspecting three days a week. Reports email this morning with catches still. PIC will need to continue to clean and check food as it is put back out onto shelves. Staff found a dead rat in back room and removed it. A hole was filled in the back room and have not seen any in the past few weeks. Please will need to continue with the pest control inspects and emailing them to the Health Division

Code Requirements

IMMEDIATE ACTION: Clean/sanitize all affected areas with 10% bleach solution. Discard ALL exposed food. Seal holes over 1/4 inch (mice) or 1/2 inch (rats). Remove food sources. Install bait stations. Professional extermination within 24 hours.
