Installed and Maintained
During the inspection a patron complained about an odor within the women's restroom. Upon inspection a sewer odor was identified around the floor drain located between the bathroom stalls and the hand sinks. No evidence of a leak was observed in the basement or building in general. Though the source of the odor could not be determined during the health inspection it is possible that the trap to the drain line is dry improperly pitched (draining) or absent. The drain should issue must be investigated and should be corrected before the next inspection. Management should notify the area inspector once the source of the odor has been identified and a remedial plan has been enacted.
