Controlling Pests (Pf)
Evidence of mice droppings around the chip shelves. PIC has the pest control inspecting each week. Multiple glue boards under shelves. The PIC will need to clean the floor and put the traps down. Please have pest control address this and with the help of you clean the floor and shelves each day. 9-11-24 PIC will need to review the report from pest control and clean areas patch holes and replace door sweeps as noted in report. 10-15-24 On this visit no new pest control reports at location. Droppings found on shelf in chip area. PIC will need to check each day clean and remove. Pest control will need to do more inspections and any areas that need to have repairs that are noted on the report should be taken care of. 10-23-24 Evidence of mice in chip area and behind chips on a non food shelf. Mutiple droppings found in back storage room along wall in eletrical room and around compacter.We found a live mouse on a grue trap in back room. PIC will need to pull all pallets off the wall so that pest control an properly bait.
Why This Matters
SEVERE CONTAMINATION: Rodent droppings carry 35+ diseases including Hantavirus (36% mortality rate), Salmonella (20% of cases from rodents), Leptospirosis (kidney/liver failure). Mice contaminate 10 times more food than they eat through urine and droppings.
Code Requirements
IMMEDIATE ACTION: Clean/sanitize all affected areas with 10% bleach solution. Discard ALL exposed food. Seal holes over 1/4 inch (mice) or 1/2 inch (rats). Remove food sources. Install bait stations. Professional extermination within 24 hours.

PIC will need to clean up the back room. I found shelves open boxes old equipment just in corners. This would be location for mice to live.
