Food Protection
Glass within two of the retail freezer units opposite the butcher area was observed to be cracked and broken. Tape had been applied to the broken glass to secure it. However given the frozen condition of the unit the tape in several areas had failed to properly adhere to the glass. The glass represents a physical hazard to the foods stored within the unit and a health hazard to those handling food near the breakage. Remove the broken glass.

Handling of Food & Ice
The frozen headless trout was stored within a self-service bin without utensil or readily accessible storage bags. As such the customers have to handle the fish product with bare hands. All self-service displays must be supplied with adequate utensils to prevent bare hand contact. In a second frozen fish display the storage bags that could have been utilized to handle the fish preventing bare hand contact were located at the bottom of the bin under the fish. Correct both.
