One of the basement food preparation cooks took a call on his cell phone while he was preparing the salmon. The staff should exit the food preparation area wash their hands and replace their gloves before returning to food preparation. The gloves soiled by the salmon could have contaminated the phone. The phone stored in the cook's pocket could have contaminated the gloved hands.

Clean Equipment & Utensils Storage

The ice scoop to the basement ice machine was observed stored on a surface that was not clean nor sanitized. Whereas ice is considered food the scoop must be stored properly. It was moved to the dish room to be stored later within a clean and sanitized pan.
