Evidence of rat droppings in the basement and observed a dead cockroach. Clean to remove rat droppings and dead cockroach. Provide a detailed IPM report from a licensed exterminator. PIC stated the owner will email the current pest report. 9.3.24- At the time the re inspection PIC was able to provide a detailed IPM report. There is still evidence of rat droppings in the basement. Photos taken. The recommendations that are stated on the extermination report was addressed today during the re inspeciton. Ensure that these are taken care of before the next inspection. Contact exterminator to come out again and remove all rat droppings.
Why This Matters
SEVERE CONTAMINATION: Rodent droppings carry 35+ diseases including Hantavirus (36% mortality rate), Salmonella (20% of cases from rodents), Leptospirosis (kidney/liver failure). Mice contaminate 10 times more food than they eat through urine and droppings.

IMMEDIATE ACTION: Clean/sanitize all affected areas with 10% bleach solution. Discard ALL exposed food. Seal holes over 1/4 inch (mice) or 1/2 inch (rats). Remove food sources. Install bait stations. Professional extermination within 24 hours.
