In the open self service refrigerated meat case Price Rice is selling fully cooked and smoked hamhocks in small packages available for retail sale - each package contains a 2-4 count of these hamhocks in each package - the sell by dates on the labels suggest a sell by daye of September 21st 2022. These hamhocks are commercially prepared and packed when delivered to the store - there was some small signs of mold beginning to form on two of the many packages of hocks - Meat manager was there during inspection and removed them from the retail case - ensure to visibly inspect all packaged meats on a daily basis to ensure quality and intergrity of all foods being sold in the meat cases

DIRECT CONTAMINATION PATH: Raw chicken contains Salmonella (23% of samples) and Campylobacter (71% of samples). One drop of raw chicken juice can contaminate entire shelf below. Results in 1-3 million US illnesses annually.
