Open bags of flour and other starches being stored on the basement floor after opening - ensure all foods are elevated off the floors a minimum of six inches during storage to reduce any potential contamination - ensure all exposed foods located in any and all refrigeration / freezer units are covered properly during extended periods of refrigeration storage to reduce any potential contamination

DIRECT CONTAMINATION PATH: Raw chicken contains Salmonella (23% of samples) and Campylobacter (71% of samples). One drop of raw chicken juice can contaminate entire shelf below. Results in 1-3 million US illnesses annually.
