Unable to test the Handwash sink during the inspection.Owner stating generator was not charged. Handwash station water was observed using a 5 gallon water cooler jug with a hose to dispense water. It was explained to the owner that this method will be discussed with an ISD Supervisor. It was also discussed with the owner that the water dispensing should be properly plumbed into the trucks water tank.
Why This Matters
CONTAMINATION CYCLE: Using handwash sink for dishes spreads grease and food particles, making hand cleaning ineffective. Staff avoid dirty sinks, reducing handwashing by 60%. Creates breeding ground for bacteria at the most critical hygiene point.
